Directions to Stovepipe Wells, Death Valley
Stovepipe Wells Village is located on Hwy 190, just 23 miles northwest of Furnace Creek and nestled against the foothills of the Panamint Mountain Range. You'll find a general store and service station as well as a landing strip for private aircraft. The resort features a concrete, 3,040 foot by 70 foot airstrip, ideal for private planes.

From Las Vegas
Approximate total mileage: 140
- Take I-15 South to exit 33, Blue Diamond (Highway 160)
- Follow Highway 160 through Pahrump, Nevada.
- Take Belle Vista Road (LEFT HAND TURN), at the end of Belle Vista Road.
- Turn right onto Highway 127, go quarter mile.
- Turn left at Highway 190, following signs straight ahead for Death Valley National Park.
From Los Angeles
Approximate total mileage: 320
- Take I-15 North to Baker, California.
- Take Highway 127 North to Shoshone.
- At Shoshone continue straight to Death Valley Junction.
- Turn left on Highway 190, following the signs straight to Death Valley National Park.
From Northern Los Angeles
Approximate total mileage: 240
- Take I-5 North to Highway 14. Travel north through Mojave approximately 46 miles to Highway 178 East.
- Take Highway 178 East to Ridgecrest (approximately 5 miles) and turn right (south) on China Lake Blvd.
- Continue for approximately 2 miles and turn left (east) on Ridgecrest Blvd. / Highway 178. Go through town of Trona approximately 32 miles to Panamint Valley Road.
- Bear left and continue to stop sign at Highway 190.
- Turn right (east) on Highway 190 and follow to Stovepipe Wells.
From Reno
Approximate total mileage: 350
- Take Highway 395 South.
- At Lone Pine take Highway 136 east, which becomes Highway 190.
- Follow the signs to Death Valley National Park.
From Sacramento
Approximate total mileage: 420
- Take Highway 99 South to California Highway 14 and then to US Highway 395.
- Take Highway 395 north to Lone Pine.
- At Lone Pine take Highway 136 east, which becomes Highway 190.
- Follow the signs to Death Valley National Park.
